Cawyaŋ Zarma Sanni

This video shows the last part of the final of the 37^th edition of the traditional wrestling games in Dosso, Niger. The pictures were shot in the Salma Dan Rani arena on 17 February 2016. Salma Dan Rani was the first wrestler from Dosso who won the sabre (1976 and 1979). The video is made available by Télé Sahel. The finalists were Kadri Abdou dit Issaka Issaka, from the Dosso region, who was the winning finalist last year, and Adamou Abdou, from the Niamey region. It was the third time in a row that a Niamey and Dosso wresler battled for the 'sabre national' in the final. This final lasted 35 minutes and Issaka Issaka won for the second time in a row.

At these games, 80 wrestlers attended in total; this is 10 per region. A complete list of finalist since 1975 is given here.
